07/26/2003 - My first (unsuccessful) attempt at capturing Mars!

Note: All pictures on this page (unless noted otherwise) were taken on 07/26/2003 between 12:00am and 1:00am at San Jose, CA using a Celestron Nexstar 114GT telescope with a 10mm eyepiece and a Fuji Finepix 3800 digital camera. And, for this time, you will have to trust me that it indeed is Mars!

All of these pictures except the first one, were taken with a 1 second exposure. All this time, Sunit was holding the telescope still and I was taking care of the camera! I think I need to learn a lot more fundas about astrophotography and refine my equipment.
